After purchasing a home in 2008 and taking on the remodel as an investment project, Mike discovered a passion for construction, especially finish carpentry. What began as a side hustle soon turned into a professional path, eventually leading him to join Owen Gabbert, LLC. 

Before entering the residential construction world full-time, he worked as a ski instructor and spent 12 years in commercial building materials supply. With a rare blend of field and office skills, he’s proud of his versatility. Mike is equally comfortable managing budgets and schedules as he is swinging a hammer. His favorite parts of the job include coordinating moving pieces and creatively solving challenges on site.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find him deep in the woods trail running, ski touring, hiking, or camping. A few fun facts: he's the only American in his Canadian family, has completed multiple ultramarathons, and once ran with the bulls in Spain.
